Join Daniel Norton OnSet as he creates a character-driven (self)portrait in his home. When photographing a portrait in a subject’s own space, using the environment and props that relate to them is a great approach. While an area may seem to have enough light, the camera does not perceive things as our eyes do, and using flash to light the space and make it conform to how we “see” it in our mind, allows for a controlled portrait that feels natural.
