Ruth Medjber
Photographer Ruth Medjber* was born in Marino, Dublin to Irish/Algerian parents. She graduated from D.I.T. with a BA Hons. in Photography in 2008. Her work has been exhibited extensively in Ireland as well as Internationally.
In this episode of Out of the Darkroom, Ruth interviews Joseph-Philippe Bevillard. Born in Boston, MA to French parents, Joseph-Philippe started drawing at the age of 3 after he lost hearing in both ears as the result of a high fever. In his early years, Joseph-Philippe took up photography at Brooks School in North Andover. He’s done commercial photography and worked for magazines and newspapers, as well as printing for well-known photographers. His photographs has been exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide and in many private and corporate collections. In 2000, he moved to Ireland to work on book projects on landscapes, portraits and abstracts using black-and-white films.
