AdoramaTV’s Through the Lens first premiered in 2015, and six seasons and nearly 100 episodes later, we’ve profiled some of the most recognized names in the industry. We recently caught up with Sal D’Alia, AdoramaTV Senior Content Producer and creator of Through the Lens, to get his thoughts on the must-watch episodes of the series.

Peterson is not only a well-respected creative in the advertising agency world, but he’s also one of the most popular photographers of black and white images on Instagram.

Season 2, Episode 2: Dylan Furst (@fursty)

Based in Bellingham, Washington, Dylan Furst (@fursty), began his career as a UPS truck loader, working nights and early mornings, later heading out to photograph during the day. Now, Furst is a full-time photographer who travels the world, taking incredible photos, and working with some of the biggest brands.

Season 2, Episode 8: Eric Ward (@littlecoal)

Season 2 of Through the Lens featured photographer Eric Ward (also known as @littlecoal), a third grade teacher from Toledo, Ohio. Ward began taking photos of his son and his surroundings, all using his iPhone, and became an Instagram sensation.

Season 6, Episode 2: Omar Robles (@omarzrobles)

Omar Robles (@omarzrobles) is famous for his beautiful portraits of dancers in the streets. In this season 6 episode, he goes deeper beyond his photography, and shows us the devastation of his hometown in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.


Through The Lens | S06E03 - @Kathryn_Dyer

Season 6, Episode 3: Kathryn Dyer (@kathryn_dyer)

Kathryn Dyer’s story — which debuted in season 6 — shows the healing power of art and photography. Dyer (@kathryn_dyer) started taking photos of the landscape in front of her house while she was battling cancer, and through that, found her start in photography.
