As I\u2019m writing this article, winter has fallen on New York. The snow was icy and beautiful to look at through my frost-covered windows. Unless you are a winter sports photographer or maybe a street photographer, this time of year can be slow work and creativity-wise. That\u2019s why I often turn to macro photography during this \u201cdowntime.\u201d With simple tools and know-how, we can create worlds of beauty and mystery from the objects around our homes or outside if we wear a nice scarf and hat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
