All products mentioned below will be available soon at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\" title=\"Shop at Adorama\">Adorama<\/a>. But today, we report on more incremental developments and only one real surprise. Here it is:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/alc\/wp-content\/uploads\/alc_images\/article14029_0.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/0014026\/news\/Polaroid-Launches-Worlds-First-Android-Powered-MILC\" title=\"Polaroid Launches World's First Android-Powered MILC\">Polaroid Launches World&#8217;s First Android-Powered MILC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>That surprise was that Polaroid (or more specifically, Sakar International, which is using the Polaroid name under a licensing agreement) announced three mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras that look remarkably like the Nikon 1 series and have a similarly small sensor. But the real surprise is that the flagship model, the Polaroid iM1836, runs on the Android 4.1 Jellybean operating system. Who saw that coming? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/0014026\/news\/Polaroid-Launches-Worlds-First-Android-Powered-MILC\" title=\"Polaroid Launches World's First Android-Powered MILC\">More&#8230;<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/alc\/wp-content\/uploads\/alc_images\/article14029_1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/0014028\/news\/10-New-Full-HD-Camcorders-From-Sony\" title=\"10 New Full HD Camcorders From Sony\">10 New Full HD Camcorders From Sony<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Usually, CES is chock full of camcorders and for Sony this year was no exception. The electronics giant unveiled 10 new Handycam camcorders, ranging in price from under $300 to around $1,600 but all sharing what Sony calls &#8220;best in class&#8221; technology. All models are capable of recording full HD videos, and many with built-in Wi-Fi or built-in projectors. Sony announced a collaboration with WeVideo, offering three free months of cloud video storage on WeVideo, with 10GB of storage and access to400 royalty-free audio tracks. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/0014028\/news\/10-New-Full-HD-Camcorders-From-Sony\" title=\"10 New Full HD Camcorders From Sony\">More&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/alc\/wp-content\/uploads\/alc_images\/article14029_2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/0014027\/news\/Canon-Announces-New-Camcorders\" title=\"Canon Announces New Camcorders\">Canon Announces New Camcorders<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Canon was the only other company with a bunch of new camcorders; it was odd that only two companies had significant camcorder announcements this year. Canon announced new Vixia camcorders at CES this week: the Canon Vixia HF R42, Canon Vixia HF R40 and R400 and Canon Vixia HF-G20. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/0014027\/news\/Canon-Announces-New-Camcorders\" title=\"Canon Announces New Camcorders\">More&#8230; <\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/alc\/wp-content\/uploads\/alc_images\/article14029_3.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/0014025\/news\/Samsungs-Latest-Smart-Cameras-Stress-Wi-Fi-Quick-Image-Sharing\" title=\"Samsung's Latest Smart Cameras Stress Wi-Fi, Quick Image Sharing\">Samsung&#8217;s Latest Smart Cameras Stress Wi-Fi, Quick Image Sharing<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Samsung has recently been quite forward thinking about their digital cameras, anticipating trends. This is especially true with Wi-Fi, which they introduced a year before everyone else. Samsung has overhauled its entire still digital camera lineup, introducing a new generation of cameras that borrow heavily from smartphone-type image sharing technology. From the flagship NX300, an interchangeable-lens model that is also the world&#8217;s first one-lens 3D system, on down to budget compacts, all new models have integrated Wi-Fi and easy access to sharing images and videos on social networks. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/0014025\/news\/Samsungs-Latest-Smart-Cameras-Stress-Wi-Fi-Quick-Image-Sharing\" title=\"Samsung's Latest Smart Cameras Stress Wi-Fi, Quick Image Sharing\">More&#8230;<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/alc\/wp-content\/uploads\/alc_images\/article14029_4.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/0014024\/news\/Sigma-Unveils-DP3-Merrill-compact-digital-camera-with-portrait-macro-lens\" title=\"First Look: Sigma DP-3 Merrill\">First Look: Sigma DP-3 Merrill<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sigma introduced the third in its line of specialized APS-sensor, prime lens compact cameras. The Sigma DP3 Merrill has a 50mm f\/2.8 lens, equivalent to a 75mm lens on a 35mm camera. The new camera is designed for optimal performance for both portrait photography and macro work.
