Panasonic showcased a bunch of new 4K professional camcorders at this year\u2019s NAB. Offering a new series of UX handheld cameras, a mini-cam take on the VeriCam 35, and two new studio cameras, it seems like Panasonic are taking it to the next level while attempting to expand their growth within the Film and Broadcast industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The VariCam LT 4K Cinema Camcorder<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting off with the VariCam LT 4K cinema camcorder<\/a> \u2013 a more compact and less expensive take on the VariCam 35 \u2013 this camera has been shipped out to customers this month. It delivers 14 stops of dynamic range with V-log as well as incorporating all the desirable specs from the popular VariCam 35.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weighing at just under 6 lbs, the VariCam LT is the perfect camera for crane, jib and drone photography as well as handheld work. According to Panasonic\u2019s press release<\/a>, the VariCam LT will come available with different accessory packages ranging from $18,000 to $30,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AG-UX180 and AG-UX90<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Introducing a new UX series, the AG-UX180 represents the flagship model while the AG-UX90 is more of a stripped down variant. Both will feature a 1-inch MOS sensor but the similarities end there. The AG-UX180 will also include a 20x optical zoom, 60p UHD recording, dual codec recording and variable frame rate recording in 1080p. The AG-UX90 will have a 15x optical zoom and UHD 30p recording. Expect these cameras to retail at under $4000 and $3000 respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AK-UC3000 and AK-HC5000<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, Panasonic also announced two new broadcast 4K cameras. The AK-UC3000 is a full-UHD resolution camera with a single MOS sensor and an internal conversion lens that outputs a UHD signal up to 3840 x 2160. Its B4 mount allows for different interchangeable lenses and can shoot under low light conditions with a wide dynamic range of 600%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Advanced Focus Assist Functions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Shockless Gain (-6~36dB)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Black Gamma Correction tracking pedestal and multi-step Digital Noise Reduction<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Output formats: HD, 4K, and up to 60i for HD and 60p for 4K<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    HDR (High Dynamic Range) to be offered through future firmware release<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AK-HC5000 shares most of the same characteristics as the UC3000. However, it outputs a more advanced signal of up to 1080 at a higher simulated frame rate of 239.76p.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both cameras may come bundled in various permutations with converter\/power\/transmission units and an optional viewfinder. The AK-UC3000 could retail from $6000 to $37,000 while the AK-HC5000 could retail from $23,000 to $42,000.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
