Today DJI announced the\u00a0 Osmo Mobile<\/a>, a hand stabilizer for your smartphone that works with the DJI GO app to automatically track subjects, essentially turning your camera into a smart motion camera. The technology used in this gimbal is the same tech used in DJI’s drones. For those looking to upgrade above using their smartphone camera, DJI also recently released the Osmo+<\/a>, which is DJI’s first handheld gimbal with an integrated zoom camera.<\/p>\n

Osmo Mobile<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to track subjects smoothly, the Osmo Mobile utilizes ActiveTrack technology that\u2019s built into the DJI GO app. The technology cancels out movements or camera shake allowing you to produce cinematic video.<\/p>\n

Using the stabilizer, photographers will easily be able to create motion timelapse videos and up to 1-second long exposures without a tripod.<\/p>\n

The stabilizer comes with 4 shooting modes: standard mode, portrait mode, underslug mode and flashlight mode. \u00a0Additional cool features include full camera control with dedicated buttons for the Shutter and Record, manual ISO, and White Balance settings.\u00a0 With a customizable joystick, users can set sensitivity, invert pan or tilt, and set the gimbal so that it moves only in specific directions using your hand.<\/p>\n

According to DJI, the stabilizer has a battery life of 4.5 hours at full-charge, but you can use an external battery extender for even longer battery life.<\/p>\n

Osmo+<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the release of DJI’s first handheld gimbal with an integrated zoom camera, photographers will be able to get closer to subjects than ever before. \u00a0Featuring a 7x zoom, 3.5x optical and 2x digital lossless zoom, the camera gives a focal length ranging from 22mm to 77mm without sacrificing HD quality.<\/p>\n

The camera will remain flat no matter how you decide to move it thanks to its advanced stabilization technology. The Osmo+ is a powerful little camera that can shoot crisp 4K\/30fps video and 1080p\/120fps for slow motion video. The included FlexiMic will allow for enhanced audio capture, while the 12 megapixel camera will produced stunning stills in Adobe DNG RAW for editing flexibility. \u00a0The camera’s Panorma function is able to capture and blend 9 separate photos into one impressive image.\u00a0A mobile device can be mounted on the side of the handle to display a live feed from the camera through a high-speed Wi-Fi video link.<\/p>\n
