It accommodates most prosumer DSLRs with grip (such a Canon 5D Mark II or a Nikon D700) with an 8-inch-long zoom lens attached (like Canon\u2019s 70-200mm), plus two additional lenses and a flash. Inside the main compartment, the camera with mounted lens is suspended on two vertical foam-padded dividers that are internally reinforced.<\/p>\n<p>\nWhen swung around to the front, the secure zippered Quick Flip Top opens away from the body for fast and convenient access to camera gear. A well-padded sling strap distributes the weight, and a Tuck-A-Way\u2122 waist belt allows the Velocity 8x to be used comfortably during vigorous activities such as hiking or biking. The front pocket has organizer pockets inside and also features Tamrac&#8217;s US-patented Memory &amp; Battery Management System\u2122 that uses red flags to differentiate available memory cards and batteries from ones that are used up.<\/p>\n<p>\nInternal Dimensions: 9.5w x 5,5d x 11h inches. Cost: $75.)<\/p>\n<p>\nRoadWired Skooba Checkthrough\u2122Messenger<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/alc\/wp-content\/uploads\/alc_images\/article11760_1.jpg\" \/>Checkthrough bags are specially designed and tested to pass through airport security x-ray screening without having to remove your laptop. The new RoadWired Skooba Checkthrough Messenger, a slim, \u201cflap-over\u201d style version of the original, looks like a high-end business case, but opens and hinges in the middle to reveal a separate laptop compartment. When the bag is unfolded with the window facing up, the image presented to the X-ray screener is the same as if the laptop were removed and placed in a bin. The Checkthrough bag and its contents can be carried securely with or without the hinge zipped shut.<\/p>\n<p>The Checkthrough Messenger has over a dozen compartments, pockets and organizers, including a Doc-Pocket\u2122, which keeps ticket and passport within instant reach for security and airline checks. The laptop section holds all 15\/15.4-inch machines, most 16- and many 17-inch models, including all Apple laptops.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe commodious main compartment is designed to hold papers and books but can be pressed into service to hold camera gear as well. The bag includes a removable, zippered clear pouch for allowable liquids, organizers for portable electronics, business card holder, and more. It features a ballistic nylon exterior, heavy-duty webbing and stitching, and nickel-finish hardware, and it weighs in at a shoulder-friendly 40 ounces. Cost: $90.<\/p>\n<p>\nDomke F-2 Backpack<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/alc\/wp-content\/uploads\/alc_images\/article11760_2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The original Domke F-2 bag has been a mainstay among photojournalists for over 30 years, and now it\u2019s been ingeniously reconfigured into the Domke F-2 Backpack. The bottom of the bag is arranged exactly like the F2 Original bag, but there\u2019s now extra room at the top for accessories or personal items.
