They love showing their audiences the wonderful nature of Germany but they have also created a place for inspiration, exchange and community. In addition, the quality of photography plays a central role. All members embody a new visual language, which is not found in classical landscape photography. It is about transporting passion and authenticity in the images, building a link to the respective motif and going new ways - in the truest sense of the word. He viewed image sharing sites as dominated by Americans, by the American gaze, and filled with landscapes that he was convinced his own country could best in beauty. He wanted to \u201cget Germany on the map\u201d by building a community around appreciation of the German countryside and forests, while promoting European creatives. This idea developed nearly four years ago into the current \u201cGerman Roamers\u201d consortium of photographers after H\u00f6hn, a.k.a. @pangea, brainstormed with Johannes Becker, @hannes_becker, with whom he\u2019d formed an Instagram friendship.<\/p>\n<p>[ngg_images source=&#8221;galleries&#8221; container_ids=&#8221;14&#8243; display_type=&#8221;photocrati-nextgen_pro_mosaic&#8221; row_height=&#8221;180&#8243; margins=&#8221;3&#8243; last_row=&#8221;justify&#8221; lazy_load_enable=&#8221;0&#8243; lazy_load_initial=&#8221;35&#8243; lazy_load_batch=&#8221;15&#8243; display_type_view=&#8221;default&#8221; ngg_proofing_display=&#8221;0&#8243; captions_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; captions_display_sharing=&#8221;1&#8243; captions_display_title=&#8221;1&#8243; captions_display_description=&#8221;1&#8243; captions_animation=&#8221;slideup&#8221; order_by=&#8221;sortorder&#8221; order_direction=&#8221;ASC&#8221; returns=&#8221;included&#8221; maximum_entity_count=&#8221;500&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis kid is just showing German nature and it looks incredible,\u201d says H\u00f6hn, 31, of Becker, 24. \u201cSo we met up for a weekend in the woods\u2014just headed out to take photos in the area\u2014and really quickly I realized that this is my thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>H\u00f6hn traces his fever for photography to his childhood, and analog: \u201cI fell in love with photography when I found out about the existence of bokeh,\u201d H\u00f6hn shares with AdoramaTV. \u201cI saw some old photos my dad took in the \u201870s and \u201880s, and I was amazed by the look of the images with a blurred background.\u201d Now grown up and with his own gear, he relies on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/isoa9.html\">Sony A9<\/a> with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/iso2470gm.html\">Sony FE 24-70mm f\/2.8 GM lens<\/a>, and accomplishes \u201c99 percent\u201d of edits in Adobe Lightroom.<\/p>\n<p>Becker\u2019s passion is however entirely digital. Growing up in a tiny German town of only 200 inhabitants, he sought to literally and figuratively broaden his horizons. He downloaded Instagram and was hooked.<\/p>\n<p>Now with followings numbering more than 207,000 for H\u00f6hn, 1.1 million for Becker, and 212,000 for the German Roamers circle totaling 15 photographers, they\u2019re also growing their subjects. You could simply stroll around and shoot on every corner. Making his list are the hills and popular climbing terrains of Saxon Switzerland National Park in the east, the wilderness of Eifel National Park in the west, and the dramatic peaks of the Allg\u00e4u Alps in the South.<\/p>\n<p>As well as Germans know these places, the international community still leans on a stereotypical impression of the country as a land of gingerbread-cute architecture, overflowing beer steins, and Christmas markets hawking bratwurst.
