Nearly every digital camera available today has Wi-Fi or Bluetooth technology\u2014or a combination of both\u2014that allows it to communicate with mobile devices, share files, send image files to nearby printers, all with a minimum of user involvement. While not every camera offers every feature listed below, here’s a list of our five favorite Wi-Fi features in digital cameras.<\/p>\n

1. Create a live slideshow
\n<\/strong>Users can set up their camera to automatically transfer images to their laptop, desktop or mobile device, which could in turn be set up to project images on a monitor or screen as you shoot them. There’s a YouTube video that talks you through the process for nearly every camera that offers this feature.<\/p>\n

2. Operate your camera from your mobile device<\/strong> 
\nMost wireless-capable cameras work with software the user can download from the manufacturer that will let them operate the camera settings remotely, and to get live view images on their devices.<\/p>\n

3. Print directly from your camera as you shoot
\n<\/strong>Another great feature for event photography, this allows cameras to send images to a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth-enabled printer<\/a> nearby that can be set to automatically print a photo as you continue shooting.<\/p>\n

4. Send image files to your editor
\n<\/strong>This is especially useful for photojournalists and sports photographers who are operating on Internet time and who are working for online sites that want instant access to the pictures they just took. The transfer goes on in the background as you continue to shoot. You can even save bandwidth by setting the camera to send screen-resolution images.<\/p>\n

5. Store video and still images to The Cloud
\n<\/strong>You can use an app within your portable device to choose a cloud-based service and upload images to galleries or files as you shoot.<\/p>\n
