\nContest theme: Precious Things, Precious Moment<\/i><\/p>\n




\nTokyo, Japan – Ricoh Co., Ltd. has announced it will hold the eighth Ricoh Photo Contest for photos taken with Ricoh compact digital cameras (application period: May 30, 2008 to August 29, 2008). The theme for the contest will be \u201cPrecious Things, Precious Moment.\u201d
\n


\nSince June 2004, Ricoh has been holding this contest for users who enjoy photography with Ricoh compact digital cameras. Anyone who owns a Ricoh compact digital camera can participate in the 8th Ricoh Photo Contest. With this contest, Ricoh seeks to honor photos taken casually by people who carry their cameras with them.
\n


\nPhotos can be submitted via the contest website. A total of 50 photos will be chosen as winners from among the photos submitted, including a grand prize winner. The winners will be exhibited on the Ricoh website (starting around late October), and they will be printed in “poster size” (457 x 560 mm) and displayed at planned photo exhibits. In addition, this year a “2009 Ricoh Photo Calendar” will also be created using 13 photographs selected from among the winners.
