In fact, Kodak is forecasting an increase in revenue based on doubling sales of inkjet printers this year.<\/p>\n<p>For details, read the Kodak press release:<\/p>\n<p><b>Kodak\u2019s Consumer Inkjet Printing Systems Achieve Best-in-Class Print Permanence Ratings from Wilhelm Imaging Research<\/b><\/p>\n<p>ROCHESTER, N.Y. \u2014 The KODAK EASYSHARE All-in-One (AiO) Inkjet Printer line has been extensively tested by a leading independent permanence testing laboratory, Wilhelm Imaging Research (WIR).<\/p>\n<p>According to the results of the industry\u2019s first five-factor print<\/p>\n<p>permanence testing, spearheaded by WIR, the KODAK EASYSHARE AiO Printers<br \/>\nand ink achieved the highest level of overall print permanence of any<br \/>\ncurrent consumer desktop printer system.<\/p>\n<p>The KODAK EASYSHARE AiO printers, ink and media achieved WIR Display<br \/>\nPermanence Ratings and Album\/Dark Storage Ratings of greater than 125<br \/>\nyears. WIR Unprotected Ozone Resistance Ratings (for example, prints placed<br \/>\non refrigerators) of more than 100 years were also reported. WIR tests also<br \/>\nshowed that the KODAK prints are very resistant to damage in high-humidity<br \/>\nconditions and, even when printed on plain paper, the prints can survive<br \/>\nexposure to accidental water spills.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese test results with the KODAK Inkjet Printers and pigmented inks<br \/>\non the full range of seven KODAK Photo Papers and inkjet plain paper<br \/>\nestablish an important, new long-term print permanence benchmark for<br \/>\nconsumers,\u201d said Henry Wilhelm, president of Wilhelm Imaging Research. \u201cFor<br \/>\nconsumers, this means that documents and photos printed with KODAK<br \/>\nEASYSHARE AiO Inkjet Printers should be preserved in very good condition<br \/>\nfor more than 100 years in all common consumer display and storage<br \/>\nenvironments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>WIR, whose test methods have become the de facto industry standard for<br \/>\nboth consumer and professional inkjet prints, conducted extensive print<br \/>\npermanence tests on KODAK EASYSHARE AIO 5100, 5300 and 5500 Printers,<br \/>\npigmented inks and inkjet photo papers to determine image fade resistance<br \/>\nfor the five major longevity factors: light, temperature, unprotected<br \/>\nexposure to ambient ozone, high-humidity and contact with water. Using<br \/>\nWIR\u2019s established test method standards, the organization determined that<br \/>\nin all cases, prints from the KODAK Consumer Inkjet Printing System will<br \/>\nresist fading for more than 100 years.<\/p>\n<p>Kodak continues to deliver on its industry-leading initiative to<br \/>\nprovide objective, third-party data so that consumers can make informed<br \/>\npurchase decisions when buying a new home inkjet printer. For example,<br \/>\nKodak also works with industry expert QualityLogic, Inc. for tests of ink<br \/>\nyield to determine KODAK Printers\u2019 cost-of-ink per page.
