As always, CES was crazy, and that includes all of the new gear and gadgets on display in the health and fitness space. There were plenty of innovative, unique products to check out and here are three of our favorites: <\/p>\n

Withings Move ECG w\/ EKG Sensor<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Withings introduced a lot of new, interesting fitness products at CES this year, but our favorite is the Move ECG. This watch was made to compete with Apple Watch 4, in that it includes an electrocardiogram (EKG) sensor, which can measure the electrical impulses of your heart from your skin, meaning it can track not only your heart rate, but also your heart rhythm.<\/p>\n

Through the Withings Health Mate mobile app, you can collect data over time, and then export it so you can share it with your doctor or health professional. Withings is waiting for FDA approval, which is coming, the company says. This watch of course also does the expected activity tracking, like counting steps and monitoring sleep. It’s also only $129 and has 12 months of battery life.<\/p>\n

Matrix PowerWatch 2<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Matrix PowerWatch 2 might just be the future of sustainable, wearable fitness technology. Besides having all the necessary features like heart rate tracking, water resistance (up to 200 meters), step counting, notifications, and GPS, it also runs completely off solar power and body-generated heat. Meaning, this is a no-charge-necessary fitness watch. All you have to do is wear it. Besides that, we like the look of the new reflective solar ring around the watch display face, and think it looks good on the wrist overall.<\/p>\n

Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music LTE<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Garmin is an office favorite of ours, and the Vivoactive 3 Music is their first smartwatch with LTE. With support from Verizon Wireless, you can now leave your phone at home when you head out to the gym or for a run, and will still be able to send texts, listen to music, and track your workouts. It also has some safety features like an incident detection feature that can notify emergency contacts if it detects an impact or a fall. You can also hold down the smartwatch button for five seconds and it will send out a message with your current location if at any time you feel unsafe. We think this is a great product for any outdoor runner.<\/p>\n
