The second day of the NAMM 2019 show<\/a> yielded some exciting finds on the main floor, as well as the upper levels and areas in the other buildings throughout the convention center area. The Gear Gods<\/a> crew was able to get in touch with smaller companies like Vigier Guitars to well-known giants like Fender and Sabian. As always, more exciting products were unveiled on day two, and Gear Gods was on the spot to get the first look!<\/p>\n

Sabian:<\/h4>\n

The Sabian booth had quite a few new cymbals released this year, some of them being a few variations of hi-hats. These new cymbals come in 14\u201d thin, 14\u201d medium, and 15\u201d medium, and sport a variety of tonal characteristics that can suit a wide range of uses in many live or studio situations.<\/p>\n

Vigier Guitars:<\/h4>\n

Among the new guitars released at the Vigier Guitars booth this year at NAMM was their new G.V. Wood Hollow, which is the company\u2019s first venture into the world of semi-hollow body electric guitars. The axe features Amber Pickups, a maple top, a rosewood fingerboard, and a hollow body. It also includes locking hardware to maximize the ease of string changes, as well as many rounded features to make the guitar especially easy to hold and play.<\/p>\n

Seymour Duncan:<\/h4>\n

Seymour Duncan teamed up with Periphery guitarist Marc Holcomb to release his new signature pedal: the Dark Sun. This new digital reverb and delay pedal sports many features that Marc himself uses personally, all wrapped up into one single and convenient pedal format. With the ability to shape the EQ of the effect itself, change the saturation, rich choral modulation, and experiment with the Dynamic Expression the uses for this pedal are truly many.<\/p>\n

Schecter Guitars:<\/h4>\n

New for NAMM 2019 from Schecter Guitars is the new Keith Merrow signature MK3 Artist, a 6-string version of his signature KM7 guitar. The guitar features a wenge and purple heart thru-neck, swamp ash body, and burl maple top. The pickups are also Merrow’s signature Fishman Fluence set, which can give the player a tone that is as close as possible to the sound that Merrow personally uses.<\/p>\n

Last but certainly not least, Fender Guitars released their new line of acoustic guitars: the Acoustic Engine. This new electric-style acoustic line of guitars feature a Telecaster-style acoustic body, a Fender and Fishman pickup system with volume and tone knobs, and a \u201cvoice selector\u201d switch to vary the style and effect of the acoustic and digital sound of the guitars. This new line of unique guitars bridges the gap between acoustic and electric instruments, and come in a variety of colors and options to satisfy any player looking to expand their sound.<\/p>\n
