The third day of the NAMM 2019<\/a> show was full of lots and lots of guitars. From the well-known Ernie Ball Music Man to smaller custom shop companies like Aristides and Mayones, there were a lot of 6-, 7-, and 8-string instruments to take in throughout the day. There was no shortage of signature artist models, and plenty of new features across all the different guitar companies to keep fans excited throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Ernie Ball:<\/h4>\n

This year at the Ernie Ball booth, the company unveiled couple highlights from the signature artist models that included Jason Richardson\u2019s new model, as well as Dream Theater guitarist John Petrucci\u2019s new line of colors for his Majesty series. Jason Richardson\u2019s new signature Cutlass series artist model features a burl top, ebony fretboard, an alder body, and a roasted maple neck. It also features a shaved bottom horn, which enhances the upper fret access during solos and lead playing. For John Petrucci\u2019s new Majesty series, the colors include a color-change version called \u201cKinetic Blue\u201d that changes colors depending on how the light hits it. The guitars feature all the qualities that fans adore from the Petrucci Majesty series, but now with some more color and wood options.<\/p>\n

Vola Guitars:<\/h4>\n

The new \u201cLuna\u201d model was released in the Vola guitars booth. This new guitar features a very thin body contour for super comfortable playing, Vola branded pickups, a 3-piece maple bolt on neck, maple fretboard, and Goto hardware throughout the instrument. The Vola pickups are described as \u201cbright\u201d and \u201ccrunchy\u201d, making this new model a true winner for heavier styles of playing.<\/p>\n

Mayones Guitars:<\/h4>\n

Mayones guitars from Poland had a very special announcement this year, as the company unveiled their new glow-in-the-dark series of instruments. These guitars feature a glowing resin on the body, that hold a charge when exposed to light and glow in the dark on a dimly-lit stage. There are a few different styles of glowing resin, each of which are unique to Mayones Guitars and have a pretty wild appearance.<\/p>\n

Aristides Guitars:<\/h4>\n

At long last, Aristides Guitars announced some new models at the 2019 NAMM show this year, including their all-new S series. These fanned fret models are based off of the 080S models, and come in 6 and 7 strings due to the high demand the company experienced from fans of the instruments. They are made of the same material as all of the other Aristides instruments, and feature absolutely zero wood on the instrument, making them truly \u201cspace-age\u201d.<\/p>\n

Acacia Guitars:<\/h4>\n

Last but certainly not least for day 3 of the 2019 NAMM show were the new models released from Acacia Guitars. The new series features the Romulus body shape that Acacia is known for, but also sports an arc top for maximum comfort, bolt-on neck, 24.75\u201d scale length for ease of playing, a man-made maple top, and Fishman pickups. The instrument as a whole has the same familiarity of the classic Acacia models, but with enough modern elements to keep it fresh and playable for years to come.<\/p>\n
