Tamron is keeping busy in preparation for this year\u2019s Wedding & Portrait Photography International<\/a> (WPPI) show. Shiro Ajisaka, Tamron President and CEO, just announced two new full-frame DSLR lenses and one full-frame mirrorless lens are in the works and expected to launch in mid-2019. Also named Models A043, A046, and F045, the new additions include a 35-150mm zoom lens, a 35mm prime lens, and a ultra-wide 17-28mm lens.<\/p>\n

Let’s dive in to the three upcoming Tamron lenses. <\/p>\n

Tamron 35-150mm F\/2.8-4 Di VC OSD (Model A043):<\/h4>\n

This model is your versatile, compact, on-the-go lens. The full-frame DSLR lens has a 35-105mm zoom with a low aperture at the wide angle of f\/2.8 and f\/4 at the telephoto end. Focal length and aperture in this range allow for portraits, street photography, distorted wide shots, and more.<\/p>\n

The lens is crafted with LDs (low-dispersion) elements and an aspherical shape to create a clear picture free from aberrations. The AF performance should be quick and effective with a Dual Micro Processing Unit system, making this lens a functional, essential piece in every camera bag.<\/p>\n

Tamron SP 35mm F\/1.4 Di USD (Model F045):<\/h4>\n

Next up is the second full-frame DSLR lens. Model F045 is an SP-series 35mm prime lens with an impressive f\/1.4 aperture. This fast lens gives gorgeous bokeh effects with a shallow depth of focus. And if you\u2019ve ever explored low-aperture lenses, you\u2019ll know that there is a noticeable difference in the bokeh of even a f\/1.8 to f\/1.4.<\/p>\n

Model F045 represents 40 years of craftsmanship on Tamron\u2019s SP series and is designed to reflect that. With operability and durability in mind, the lens was crafted to be convenient for any scenario. The fixed-focal lens is suited for the everyday creative who wants to capture several settings with premier image quality delivered by a fast, prime lens.<\/p>\n

Lastly, Tamron will be releasing a super wide lens made for full-frame mirrorless cameras compatible with the Sony E-mount. The 17-28mm f\/2.8 lens is perfect for adding style to a shot. The combination of a quick lens and wide focal length gives users creative freedom to include a bit of distortion and stretch to a landscape or a street shot, while keeping a small depth of focus. Also, this lens\u2019 AF is powered by Tamron\u2019s RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive). This feature enables the AF to be high-speed and high-precision, while being silent.<\/p>\n

The filter size is only 67mm, which is notable for an ultra-wide lens. The reasonable dimensions make the lens lightweight and nicely balanced when attached to a camera. Users don\u2019t have to worry about weighing down their bag with the Model A046.<\/p>\n

The three lenses are set to premiere at CP+ (Camera and Imaging Show) 2019 and the Wedding and Portraits Professionals International (WPPI) conference at the end of February.<\/p>\n
