To the delight of pet and animal lovers, the Z6 and Z7 will now include an autofocus option for animals. The animal-detection AF setting is able to pick up the faces and eyes of dogs and cats. If there are multiple cats or dogs in the frame, the user can toggle between the animals to choose which face to focus on. And if you\u2019re recording video of animals, face detection will follow frame by frame.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The latest update also further develops subject tracking while in AF-C mode to mimic the 3D-tracking functionality used by Nikon DSLR cameras. The aim of the improvement is to make the process of subject focusing through the viewfinder faster and more accessible. To use the new feature, users can either half press the shutter-release button or hold the AF-ON button. The camera will then focus on the subject until the user releases the button, then focus will return to the initial focus point. To tailor things, users can assign the switch from auto-area AF to subject selection to a custom color button.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lastly, firmware version 3.00 allows for the use of CFexpress memory cards. Users will be able to store data on Sony CFexpress memory cards, as well as select Type B CFexpress memory cards from Lexar and ProGrade Digital.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Firmware version 1.10 for Z50:<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Improved AF operation in movie mode<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thanks to firmware version 1.10, the Nikon Z50 will be receiving a boost to its focusing abilities while in self-portrait mode. Previously, the caamera&#8217;s autofocus would have trouble if there was too much movement in live view or self-portrait mode.
