Panasonic took the filmmaking world by storm this week with two major announcements: its forthcoming LUMIX GH6, which will be available by the end of 2021, and the new Panasonic LUMIX GH5M2<\/a>, launching for preorder today. Both cameras were designed to elevate the filmmaking experience, with 4K options galore and high-quality frames our LUMIX GH5M2 tester, Rob Adams, couldn\u2019t get enough of in his GH5M2 hands-on review<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Panasonic Previews New LUMIX GH6<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The LUMIX GH6 mirrorless camera will be the latest model in the brand\u2019s celebrated GH line. The line has been known for its innovative video capabilities and stunning mobility. This camera will boast a newly developed Micro Four-Thirds sensor and Venus Engine image processor. Combined, they allow for 4K recording at up to 120p high frame rate (HFR) and variable frame rate (VFR). It also has 10-bit 5.7K at 60p, not to mention photo\/video hybrid use for feature films, documentaries, or short clips.<\/p>\n

Beyond the LUMIX GH6 camera, Panasonic will introduce new interchangeable lenses to expand its G Series lineup, including the LEICA DG 25-50mm f\/1.7.<\/p>\n

When will Panasonic release the LUMIX GH6?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Can\u2019t wait to get your hands on the new Panasonic LUMIX GH6? You\u2019re not alone. Filmmakers around the world are pining for this new video powerhouse. While Panasonic did suggest the LUMIX GH6 will be available by the end of 2021, it has not confirmed the specific date. Panasonic did say the camera will retail for around $2,500.<\/p>\n
