Getting started<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re ready to take your photography to the next level, consider the Elinchrom BRX250\/500<\/a> or D-Lite RX <\/a>kits. Both kits offer everything a portrait or product photographer needs in a bag. Both flash heads offer quick recycle times (as little as 1.6 seconds at full power), built-in stand brackets for an additional umbrella or other light modifiers. Both models give the user a full 5-stop power range that can be programmed in steps of 1\/1, 1\/2, 4\/10, 1\/3, 2\/10, and 1\/10.<\/p>\n

While the BRX and D-Lite RX models are great for the photographer getting their feet wet in strobe photography or if they typically work in a smaller studio setting, those that need more power or take their photography outdoors will be better serviced by the Elinchrom ELC Pro HD500 <\/a>or 1000 <\/a>kits. The ELC Pro HD line of compact strobes have a lot to offer the photographer looking to control light in just about any lighting environment imaginable.<\/p>\n

The ELC Pro<\/a> series offer some big step-up options including an OLED display for controlling the light\u2019s power output, f-stop range, and even allow you to save and recall user presets. The OLED also displays other unit information including EL-Skyport, photocell, flash duration, beep tone, unit recycling time, and creative mode (if selected) all in a clear concise fashion.<\/p>\n

Speaking of creative modes, the ELC Pro HD<\/a> strobes offer three creative modes to choose from: Strobo mode, Delayed mode, and Sequence mode; each mode allows a photographer to fully express their creativity and get the shot they\u2019ve imagined.<\/p>\n

The Strobo mode allows you to capture motion in a single frame by firing a constant strobe up to 20Hz at full power. Delayed mode allows for first, second-curtain flash or the flexibility to fire anywhere in between with predictive synchronization within a short sequence. You can set the delayed flash in a range from 0.001 seconds up to 10s that can be used to create surreal portraits incorporating anything from light trails to freezing high-speed action or any combination of the two. Lastly, the Sequence mode allows you to set the flash to sync with your camera\u2019s motor driven burst mode up to an insanely quick 20-frames per second.
