I\u2019m responsible for managing relationships and executing partnerships with North American influencers and esports organizations. I also work on gaming events for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/brands\/Logitech-G\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Logitech G<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/brands\/Astro-Gaming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Astro Gaming <\/a>brands.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why did you decide to enter your industry? And can you tell me about that journey?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve always wanted to work in gaming and have always been passionate about technology. As a kid, it occurred to me that there are people whose full-time jobs are creating video games. I thought to myself: \u201cWhy can\u2019t that be me?\u201d I got my degree in Game and Interactive Media Design from High Point University. During that time, I also worked part-time in the university&#8217;s IT department. After graduation, I eventually worked my way into a brand marketing manager role for Lenovo Legion. I\u2019m thrilled to have recently joined Logitech to continue my career in the gaming and technology industries. I am grateful to have wonderful mentors from my university \u2014 Dr. Kris Bell and Dr. Scott MacLeod \u2014 who empowered me to never compromise who I am and make a career out of doing what I love. Patricia Bauer, a former manager of mine, is the perfect example of a businesswoman who never sacrifices her values for her career. She can accomplish anything \u2014 personally or professionally \u2014 successfully and with ease. Additionally, I\u2019m constantly impressed with and inspired by the people I meet in gaming, as the industry is so quickly evolving that almost everyone is bringing something new and unique to the table.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do you believe your gender identity has impacted your career?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I have always believed that my femininity is a strength in my studies and in my career. In such a male-dominated industry, I offer a different perspective and am able to make observations that others may not be aware of. I\u2019ve found it so important to connect with other like-minded women to learn more about their experiences and to help each other succeed. There are so many great organizations like <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/thegamehers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the*gameHERs<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Enlightgg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Enlightgg<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/thenoirnetwork\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Noir<\/a>, and countless others that are focused on making this industry accessible to not only women, but people of all identities and backgrounds.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>42West also published a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.adorama.com\/alc\/communities-female-content-creators%EF%BF%BC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">list of programs and communities<\/a>&nbsp;catered to women content creators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What would you consider to be the most challenging part of your job?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The most challenging part of my job is learning to say no to things and letting go of some opportunities. I\u2019m so passionate about gaming that it\u2019s so easy to want to do it all. The industry is constantly expanding, so the marketing and partnership opportunities are not only abundant \u2014 they\u2019re all really exciting! At the end of the day, we can all only do so much. It\u2019s a shame that I can\u2019t take on every single idea that comes across my desk, but balance makes the things I am focused on that much better.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What advice would you pass on to other women to help them progress in this industry?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t let limiting beliefs keep you from pursuing what you want in life. I know it\u2019s cliche, but we all really are capable of anything we set our minds to. Define your goal, strategize your path to get there, and give it your best effort along the way.
