I am a professional photographer and content creator who\u2019s constantly on the move. Therefore, I\u2019m always looking for ways to lighten my bag while still able to produce high-quality images and videos. That\u2019s why when Adorama asked if I\u2019d like to take a first look at the new DJI Mini 3 Pro<\/a><\/strong>, I jumped at the opportunity. Here are my initial thoughts on DJI\u2019s latest drone.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

First Look<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I was captivated by its small, lightweight build immediately upon unboxing the drone. At just 249 grams and the size of the palm of my hand, I can\u2019t see why I would create without it. I was also impressed with the new RC controller. Not only does it feel great in your hands, but the built-in screen is a welcomed feature that is guaranteed to improve your experience \u2014 no matter how many flights you have under your belt.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

With just one day to capture content, I wanted to bring the Mini 3 Pro to shoot around Los Angeles. I am a proud pilot of the original Mavic Pro 1<\/a>. Therefore, I couldn\u2019t have been more excited to put the DJI Mavic Mini 3 Pro to the test.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In The Field<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The first thing I noticed once I got the Mini 3 Pro in the field was how quiet it was. While that may not initially seem like a big deal, there are plenty of situations when a quiet drone is valuable. This is helpful to avoid any unwanted attention when flying.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I was concerned how the Mini 3 Pro would perform in windy conditions, given its size and weight. While you never hope for wind when flying, a rare windy day in Los Angeles provided the perfect opportunity to test its capabilities. While the palm trees were swaying side to side, the drone seemed unphased and produced incredibly smooth footage.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In addition to the noticeable upgrades to the drone itself, the new RC controller deserves to be highlighted. I have only ever flown using my phone\u2019s screen. Therefore, I can\u2019t tell you enough how much I loved having a dedicated screen built into the controller. Between the large bright screen and the clean UI, it made it easier than ever to compose shots.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
