This is one of the most advanced on-camera shotgun microphones on the market. The JOBY Wavo PRO has thought of everything to level up your content. With an aluminum body, the microphone weighs less than six ounces, making it great for handheld camera shots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Audio <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This microphone is geared toward capturing audio during intense action moments, windy days, and even during loud background noise. Its Active Noise Reduction (ANR) algorithm removes self-generated structural noise in real time. This means you\u2019ll get the cleanest audio while shooting. On top of that, the ANR is able to remove bump and wind noise from the audio track. If you\u2019re filming on a windy day \u2014 or with a lot of camera movement \u2014 your audio will still be safe with the JOBY Wavo PRO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The JOBY Wavo PRO is all about adapting to your environment. Are you shooting an awesome basketball reel and worried about audio clipping with a loud crowd? The JOBY Wavo PRO records a second copy of your audio at -10db lower. You\u2019ll have a backup audio already saved directly to your camera in case the audience blows the roof off. During those movement shots, you\u2019ll also get clean and clear audio without rumble, handling noises, and walking bumps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of my favorite aspects of this microphone is the app feature. With the Wavo PRO app (for iOS and Android) you\u2019re able to control audio levels and adjust the equalizer whether you\u2019re behind or in front of the camera. The app is incredible user friendly and works with other JOBY microphones<\/a>. Within the app, you can save and share your favorite settings, control your microphone remotely, and make sure your sound is clear and crisp. <\/p>\n\n\n

Built-In Features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The microphone has built-in LEDs that notify you of your sound and battery levels in real time. You\u2019ll be able to see these lights in front or behind the camera. Gone are the days of your microphone not recording audio during a perfect take. There is also an automatic power mode which will automatically switch off your Wavo PRO when not in use to save battery. Alongside the microphone is a built-in second microphone input for more options. The microphone has Bluetooth capabilities, 60 hours of battery life (50 hours with ANR on), and mounts with a 3\/8\u201d universal mount that will work with the majority of cameras. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Included with the Wavo PRO is a foam windscreen, windjammer, a 3.5mm TRS cable, and a USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable. I strongly recommend using the windjammer. It makes a huge difference especially when recording outside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Experience Using the Wavo Pro<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I was able to take this microphone for a spin, and there was a big difference from my on-board camera microphone. The LEDs on the front and back made it easy for me to know the battery life, and when I was recording. The biggest game changer was the low wind noise and rumble. I was able to shoot a video with my dog outside and the audio came out clear. I absolutely loved using the app, and I would strongly recommend the app with any JOBY compatible products. It made editing that much easier knowing my audio was already at the right level.
