Are you an amateur photography looking to upgrade to a more professional level? Or are you a photographer who is just looking to up take a refresher course on your skills? National Geographic has a two new weekend photo workshop with four full days of touring New York City, from Central Park to Chinatown. There\u2019s no better inspiration than photographing New York City with its diversity and unique architecture, it\u2019s the place to be.<\/p>\n
The workshop designed for amateur photographers will be covering more basic skills, like photo technique, exposure, lighting, and composition. In addition, the workshop largely focuses on digital photography, so a DSLR or mirrorless camera is definitely needed. To top it off, the workshop is led by a National Geographic photographer, including Bob Sacha who is an award-winning photographer, multimedia producer, documentary filmmaker, editor, and teacher. Sacha was also the director of photography for the New York Times series, \u201cLiving City\u201d, which captured New York\u2019s Infrastructure. To join a Bob Sacha-led workshop, make sure to sign up for either the May 26-29 or Sep 29-Oct 2 dates. The dates of the Weekend Photo Workshop in New York City are as follows: Apr 28 – May 01, May 26 – 29, Jun 9-12, Sep 29 – Oct 02, and Oct 20 – 23.<\/p>\n
For those looking for more advanced workshop, then we suggest choosing the Advanced Photo Workshop, which includes improving your understanding of exposure and metering, flash photography and mixed light situations, and enhancing your ability to tell powerful stories through your photos. The itinerary for the photo workshop is similar to the previous workshop and goes from Thursday to Sunday and takes the class through all parts of New York City, including Central Park, Times Square, Union Square, Greenwich Village, Washington Square, and High Line Park. The Advanced Photo Workshop has less dates so make sure to sign up early for their May 12-15, Sep 22-25, and Oct 6-9 dates.<\/p>\n
