Say what you will about the Grammys Award Ceremony: it\u2019s too commercial, it\u2019s a showcase for bad fashion, certain music genres tend to go unrecognized, etc. However, there is no argument that it is probably the most watched music event of its kind. And seeing as the most recent iteration will televise live on Monday, February 15 at 8 pm, we thought it might be prudent to list ten things we\u2019re most excited for at this year\u2019s Grammys.<\/p>\n

1. Gwen Stefani will shoot a live music video \u201cMake Me Like You\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This could be either the best or the worst idea in the history of the Grammys. But we\u2019ll see. Keep in mind this will air during a five-minute commercial break meaning that the video itself is<\/em> a commercial promoting Stefani\u2019s upcoming album currently available through pre-order on Target.com. And it should come to no surprise that Target is co-producing the live shoot.<\/p>\n

2. A livestream performance from the cast of “Hamilton.” <\/strong><\/h4>\n

Only the hottest ticket on Broadway, the cast of \u201cHamilton\u201d will broadcast the opening number of the musical sensation via satellite<\/p>\n

3. Rihanna takes the stage for the first time since releasing her last album \u201cAnti\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\n

If you\u2019re a fan of Rihanna, you should be very excited for this.<\/p>\n

4. Lady Gaga pays tribute to David Bowie<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This is the first of what will be many music tributes on Monday night. Lady Gaga is the only performer to have played the Grammys, Super Bowl and Oscars within the same year. As for why she was tapped to take on the great, late Thin White Duke, Gaga explained to Extra<\/a>, “It’s hard to talk about. I would never be here without him \u2014 I would’ve thought I was too weird \u2014 and I never gave up because I thought he was the coolest ever.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

5. Glenn Frey tribute by Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, Joe Walsh, Timothy Schmit and Jackson Browne<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Jackson Browne joins the remaining members of The Eagle to perform a musical tribute to their friend and colleague who passed away at the beginning of this year.<\/p>\n

6. Lifetime Achievement Award given out to Run DMC, Jefferson Airplane and Earth Wind & Fire<\/strong><\/h4>\n

It would be kind of awesome if they all got together and paid musical tribute to each other. Imagine Run DMC doing their rendition of \u201cWhite Rabbit?\u201d<\/p>\n

7. Grammy Awards will have embedded GoPro cameras<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Okay, this is kind of cool. But we\u2019ll be watching just to see what, exactly they plan to shoot with this and how. So we\u2019ll get blurry shots of winners\u2019 chests as they express their acceptance speeches? Let\u2019s predict how many on-stage video selfies will be created throughout the show.<\/p>\n

8.Hollywood Vampires (Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Joe Perry) pay tribute to Lemmy Kilmister<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Yet another \u201ccould be awful but could be awesome\u201d moment for this year\u2019s Grammys. Alice Cooper, epic movie star Johnny Deep and Aerosmith\u2019s Joe Perry will somehow translate the late Motorhead front man\u2019s music to the Grammy crowd.<\/p>\n

9. Lionel Richie tribute to be performed by Demi Lovato, John Legend, Luke Bryan and Meghan Trainor<\/strong><\/h4>\n

This year\u2019s show is rife with tributes, but Lionel Richie is the only subject still alive. John Legend, Luke Bryan and Meghan Trainor will lend their musical stylings. Interesting note: both Trainor and Legend are up for major awards so they have their evening cut out for them.<\/p>\n

10. B.B. King tribute by Chris Stapleton, Gary Clark Jr. and Bonnie Raitt<\/strong><\/h4>\n
