In this introductory class we will cover basics such as initial set up, installing and accessing programs, and key new features in each operating system.<\/span><\/p>\n \n \n Interviewing people on camera is a talent. In this iOS seminar, Emmy Award winner Michael Artsis will walk you through how to set up, light, shoot, and record audio for an interview with portable gear ideal for use with an iOS mobile device. In addition to the equipment, Michael will go over his best techniques for how to prepare and conduct interviews to make the conversation natural, engaging, and informative.<\/span><\/p>\n \n \n This comprehensive PRO DAY will cover all the components involved in shooting a dialogue for a narrative film. Topics will include Camera Positioning and movement, As well as Lighting and Audio. Daniel will show how you can use lights to cover multiple subjects, Choose camera angles that allow for clean cuts and work a shotgun mic to cover 2 performers. We will be shooting with the Sony F5 and F55, lighting with Arri Fresnels and Kinoflo and recording with Rode Microphones.<\/span><\/p>\n \n \n Are you an Apple user with too many programs or icons cluttering up your desktop? Learn how to reduce clutter and improve your workflow by using the powerful built-in Dock, Spaces, and Expose features of Mac OS X.<\/span><\/p>\n \n \n In this seminar, Ralph discusses the concept of “emotional energy photography,” or photography aimed to pull emotion both out of the subject and the audience. Using various lighting and shooting techniques, Ralph demonstrates how to give your photography an emotional charge to make them more compelling.<\/span><\/p>\n \n \n In this session Daniel will demonstrate follow focus techniques using a SHAPE rig to move between two points of interest in a scene. This technique is extremely useful in guiding your viewer through your storyline. We will explore working with: A moving subject with a stationary camera, Both subject and camera in motion, Both subject and camera Stationary. We will discuss when to use a whip and \/or a focus puller. There will be two sessions, first 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, second from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.<\/span><\/p>\n \n \n The recent Windows redesign may be intuitive to people using a touch screen device, but what if you’re more familiar with a mouse and keyboard or simply don’t have a touch screen? In this class, we explore the Start Menu and the Taskbar and explain how to best use both of these features in Windows 8.<\/span><\/p>\n \n \n Technology consultant, educator and digital storyteller Eduardo Angel explains capturing, editing and presenting 4K video. Thanks to the revolutionary LUMIX GH4 camera from Panasonic, 4K technology is now more accessible than ever before. Find out what you need to transition to 4K workflow and learn about the mirrorless camera revolution in this presentation. There will be a 3 PM session and a 6 PM session.<\/span><\/p>\n \n \n In this hands-on session, Daniel will start with a well lit subject and focus on creating interest with camera position\/movement as well as lens selection\/selective focus. Learn how to create movement that adds life to your production without being distracting as well as when and why to use sliders, jibs and other tools to move your camera. But navigating through all those files can be a challenge… in this class we review some of our preferred naming conventions and folder structures that will help you find what you’re looking for faster.<\/span><\/p>\n \n \n Jason Monet, professional photographer with works featured by major car magazines, two reality TV shows and jewelry and clothing ad campaigns joins Adorama for a demonstration on how to light your model like a rock star!
