I initially bought this product to clean/repair game discs for resale. The pads aren't useable for long before they need to be replaced, and unfortunately they haven't started packaging them seperately (that I can find), so even if you only need (in my case) the repair pads, you buy the whole kit. So, it works very well, just better for random use instead of regular :).
