The Nebula Filters increase contrast when viewing emission nebulae, plantary nebulae, and supernova remnants. As opposed to the typical field of view offered by a telescope, binoculars will allow you to take in the entire nebula in one go as the lower magnification compacts the nebula into a smaller view.
