The Surge Arrest that I purchased works very well, I had one before and the switch went bad. I wish that I would've purchased the Professional model so some of the outlets would be live all the time. I don't put information in files on my computer so it doesn't affect me to much.

Haven't plugged it in yet, but it looks A-OK. Serge protector. Last one I had lasted over 10 years, and would have kept going save for an extreme power surge following a black-out. Can't complain!

I love this surge protector. Not only is it extremely reliable but it has excellent Cable Management to keep everything neat.

I own four of these unit. Three days before Christmas I had a neutral to ground power surge from the pole to my house, it was like a light show going on. The surge fried my brand new oven,garage door opener, parts of the furnace and two of these units. The total damage was about $2000 which my homeowners covered. My computers and TV's were fine because of these units. In front of my desktop computer was one of these then an APC Line-R 1200 voltage regulator connected to an APC PRO 1500 Battery Backup. In front of one of my TV's was another PRO8 then a Line-R and in front of another TV and laptop was just a PRO8.Two of these PRO8's took direct hits like lightning coming in and they fried, it went no further and they saved the insurance company quite a lot of money in electronic equipment. I highly recommend these units and the insurance company even paid for the replacements of them.

I selected this product, because I understood the product doc to say that it would protected a CAT5 connection. It does not.

Missing......no Phone Line Splitter that Allows use of two pieces of equipment at once, such as a modem and phone. This unit did not have the two jacks to plug in the phone and modem. My current one does. The photos do, so what happened to this one? other wise the current SurgeArrest as been great!

This surge protector saved my life! Well... not my life... but my computer's life. There was a really bad storm recently which caused a few surges throughout my neighborhood. My house was hit twice. The power surge fried the protector but left all of the devices hooked up to it in great working order. I was so relieved that my expensive components were safe. I knew I had to buy another one of these to replace the one that fried. I will continue to buy APC products for all of my surge protection needs.
