I bought this for vacation photography. I wanted to be able to take pictures while snorkeling, in the pool, and around the beach. For this it was actually just what I was looking for and it worked well. The camera controls are certainly more difficult to use than either no case, or a hard underwater case. (I have had a hard case for actual scuba depths with a smaller camera. That was easier to operate the camera. But a hard case is much larger to pack, and takes more time to safely load the camera and deal with o-ring seals. I used this with a Canon T2i and a Canon 50mm 1.4. To keep the camera lens from touching/scratching the front lens plate, I put a Hoya rubber hood on the lens. It is less wide than many other rubber hoods. This fit perfectly inside the hard front lens cover. This will also work with some longer lenses if they are standard consumer level (smaller diameter). The EF-S 17-55 2.8 fits, but just barely. So does the EF 24-105 L. But it's hard to operate the zoom (and you wouldn't want to when underwater). The 50mm lens is a bit long for underwater on a crop sensor camera, considering most everything being photographed is usually only several feet away. I shot raw, set the ISO at 400 and 800 in bright sun, and set the aperture in the 4 range (to try to get at least some depth of field). From that point on, it was pretty much point and shoot. I did forget to change the back button focus to shutter release focus (that would have been easier). If your expectation are in this range, you will probably be happy with the product. If you are planning for a camera case to protect the camera in wet and dirty environments, and still expect to use it fully as you would with no case, you won't be happy. Last tip, the camera in the case will float. For easier operations, get most of the air out so the flotation is reduced. It also makes button access easier (it's less like a balloon that way.
