Problem solved

Autel thought they were cute by downplaying the fact that they lied about promised camera upgrades (no 4k/60p, no FLIR camera) and then killing off the XSP at the CES. Problem solved, they must have thought. Not so fast. XSP buyers are threatening lawsuits on the Autel FB page, not a good sign from a PR standpoint. As one very disgruntled buyer noted, "we have a modular drone with no mods." Now, Autel is trying to sell us their DJI Mavic clone (that remains vaporware) that is clearly aimed at the dronie crowd. Good luck with that. I'm moving on to a Yuneec H520 that offers both a 4k/60p 1" camera and a FLIR camera for the H520. Problem solved.

Best quad drone.

One of my friend bought a Phantom 4, compared to my X-star, flight, pictures and video are identical but I paid half the price of his drone. I just love it.

Need a better alternative. There are plenty but be prepared to pay.

1.2 mi no way. Battery 15 if you can fly it in attitude mode.watch out for unwanted fly aways. This has happened and will again. Watch the wind, 10 mi max.

I recently purchased an Autel X Star and have used it to take aerial photos for a local real estate agency. It is easy to fly and the battery life is good at about 20-25 minutes of flight time. Don't waste your money on a DJI when you can get this for half the price as a DJI.

Wow! Fabulous drone

Finally, a drone for both beginners and experienced pilots. I am still in "beginners mode" until I get some experience. When I get uncomfortable, I press "Go Home" and it lands near where it took off. Takes fabulous photos!

The X-Star Premium is a sophisticated yet amazingly easy-to-fly quadcopter, designed for superb aerial imagery. The 4K camera, integrated with a 3-axis stabilized gimbal, can record crystal clear Ultra HD videos or take 12 MP photos. Powered with an intelligent flight control system and auto-pilot functions.
