I purchased this computer to replace my 4 year old Sony Vaio. I liked the fact that I could still get Windows 7. I'm still getting used to the keyboard with the right side numbers. I am so used to centering my hands, that I find it hard to type from left of center and keep hitting the wrong keys. The "locator bumps" (not sure of the proper name for it) on the F and J keys could be a bit larger to make them easier to find. The screen is crisp and clear. It has a solid, excellent quality feel to it. I only had it for a few weeks and so far, so good.

I've owned an ASUS 10" netbook for several years and it has never given me any trouble. So, after deciding to go for a somewhat bigger laptop, ASUS was the brand I researched. I am not disappointed with my choice. The only criticism I have is that it should have been shipped with Windows 8 (as was my wife's almost identical K55) One point to note: After installing W8, I found that the SD card reader no longer worked. However, after a quick call to the ASUS tech. help and a visit to their website to download a new driver, the card reader now works OK.
