The Brightcast RC7 Compact On-Camera Light for Sony (Metal) comes with plastic cover, which reduces the weight. The measurements for RC7 are 200W x 146H x 51Dmm and the head weighs only 0.25kg (without battery), so it is very easy to carry around, position and it is absolutely a perfect lighting option for interviewing and close-range photography.

RC7 use 90 pieces Piranha LEDs with a lifespan of over 100,000 hours and they consume 18w only in total. This standout powerful system generate strong lighting source which reaches 845LUX at 1m, while 90LUX at 3m within a beam angle of 60 degree. Light brightness can be adjusted manually using the dial at the back of the panel to anywhere between 0-100%. And the lighting spreads is even without color shifting.

RC7 integrates one DV battery holder allowing usage of Sony or Panasonic DV batteries, one of which can power the RC7 2 to 6 hours of continuous output (depending on the battery capacity and brightness setting).

For longer shooting time, it is also available to use high capacity lithium battery (standard camcorder battery) via the D-tap cable comes with the RC7, or to use an AC-DC power adapter.
