I'm studying long exposure now and the 190XV gives me the confidence of stability- a real difference from a rickety old one I was trying to use. Yet it's lightweight enough to carry from spot to spot in the Bay Area on public transportation. It lets me run to the middle of the street with it and back to the sidewalk to get that cool street shot with all the traffic tails- and keeps its cool, never shakes. My nerves go-it doesn't. I'm sure I'll get years of service from this one. The cool green color also tells me which tripod is mine when there's a night crowd in front of the full moon!

The world of nature photography and scoping demands rugged equipment that is quick and easy to operate, allowing you to concentrate on nature's beauty. Manfrotto proudly presents the VIEW family: a range of birding and sport optics kits designed to withstand the most extreme environments, and to provide years of trouble-free support.
Designed for everyone from the bird watching enthusiast to the professional nature photographer, the VIEW series kits are lightweight, rugged, compact and portable, making them ideal to carry into the most remote places on earth.
Each tripod features stainless steel fixings that will never corrode, foam rubber padding to protect the hands in cold weather, quick-action leg locks to set-up the tripod in seconds, and silky-smooth fluid heads to easily track your subject. The tripods feature four different leg-angle settings to achieve lower heights, cold weather protection and non-glare finishing.
The 190XV View Series Aluminum tripod is compact and lightweight, similar in height to the carbon fiber 190MFV. This aluminum equivalent provides the same outstanding performance at a slightly higher overall weight, but at a lower price. The aluminum tripod features a non-glare finish and is painted with a dark green color.
The tripod has a maximum Height with extended center column of 57.1", minimum height of 15.9" and a closed length of 20.8". It weighs 4.2 pounds, and will support a load of up to 11 lbs. The View Series tripods are also available as kits, offered with either the 700C2 or the 701RC2 video heads.
