This is a great book to have on hand at all times for referrals if you are new to photography. And also a good book to refresh your memory on photography issues. I also have Bryan Peterson's " Understanding Exposure". And Like he says, just keep shooting.

This is one of the best photography books I have seen. It covers the basic and beyond.I like it so much I order one for my brother.Lighting,metering,lens,ect.....are all covered.

After watching his videos on Adorama's web site, I decided I wanted to purchase his book. Bryan Peterson's way of presenting information is easy to understand and therefore informative. You may already kmow some or much of the information presented, but unlesss you are a professional photographer you will likely learn something new and/or be reminded to look at a subject in a different manner. Good info. for all but especially for a newbie to serious photography.
