I bought this to add additional light while taking product photos using my Foldio portable studio. I?ve used it a couple times and it has worked ok so far. However, it feels pretty cheap and is a bit wobbly on the light stand.

Very inexpensive so don?t expect much in the way of robust build. Should be fine for indoor lighting of small subjects.

I've found, some people don't like a flash. This allows you and your subject comfort and avoid subject from closing their eyes.This adjusts brightness in your control.

I bought this with the light adaptor and I think it will work well;. I haven't had a chance to use it, but I don't anticipate any problems. I work in small workspaces, so if will fit my needs, however it may not be bright enough for larger areas.

One issue with this light is that the battery door keeps opening after extensive use, i have it now taped up. Light still works great after almost 2 years of usage.

These lights just work well every time. I sue a pair of them in a portable imaging system and have the AC power supply as well. I have been using these for 5 years in numerous kits and have never had a failure. No flickering at different power ranges and they are very bright if you need it. I would recommend these to anybody looking for a light weight and powerful LED lamp that can be used AC or DC US or international.

the battery hold down clip is non reinforced plastic and bends after a few months. take a pass on this bad design!

I have used this as both a fill light for video and as a main light for portraits on my SLR. I would rocommend these for anyone that needs a small boost to their lighting.

This worked great doing interviews indoors with available light either filling in shadows on the face when next to windows or as a key under florescent light. A diffusion filter and diffusion with 6500k to 4500k included. Need to build a 3200 or less version, but if white balanced for 4500k, then a 3,200k background will just look warmer.

At this price point I wasn't expecting this level of performance. The light is very bright and the dimmer works well. If you are looking for an entry level light this is a good choice.

Whether you are an Aspiring Film Maker to a Professional Videographer, to simply a Passion besides your day to day job; the Bescor LED-70 Dimmable 70W Video and DSLR Light is and will be one of your greatest investment when all lights fade, especially if you are within a budget. For the New Years, I had some footage that were filmed in low light environment and though my Canon XL H1a does a much greater job in low light to poor light than my previous camera; having the LED present with me - of which was so easily attachable on my camera - made my whole night of filming a lot easier and ensured as well less time in post production. I was able to light a great portion of a dance floor as well as any individuals I pointed my camera at on the street. It also gave the footage an extra look of professionalism of which only costed a very small price. And to any videographers who are serious about price then that extra footage look output will go a long way when it's time to give your price away to clients. Sure, if you wanted to spend thousands of dollars for proper lighting then of course you would be getting something completely different but if you are on a budget and want something that will work for you then I would suggest to do one thing first: "Do some research before you purchase to ensure that you know exactly what you need." Once you are complete with your research then just choose from the best of the best within your budget. And for me, it was easy - Adorama had what I needed and Bescor had what I wanted. I hope this helps you in deciding if this piece of equipment is right for you or not. Now, don't expect this to light your subject like lightings in films would because it was not meant to light as such but if you need on the go powerful lighting then this product is the right purchase for you at an affordable price.

I do not have the ac adaptor as sometimes I use it in the field. being lightweight it takes up very litle space in the bag. It does just what I bought it for

I bought a pair of these to use with a DSLR for extra light when doing closeup/macro still photography... They work very well and provide excellent light for what I'm using them for... The interchangeable lens filter gels do rattle though so they may be annoying for those doing video but a slim piece of tape along the top front or back edge of the gels may help silence that... Other than that the construction is very good in my opinion...

This led light is excellent. I have a charger that can charge regular alkaline batteries. after charging the batteries i put them in the led light and they last at least 90mins. I don't know how other more expensive led lights in this category can cost much more. I must admit, it does flicker when the dimmer setting is at the hightest setting. However, I simply turned the dimmer down a notch and the flickering was gone. Yet, it continued to give great light coverage. the price of the unit, it gives great light coverage within a 20ft range and good light source within a 30ft range. There are other light sources available that come with a battery pack, but power availabitity is about 60-90mins. This light does that without an additional battery pack, battery weight, and straps. If you are still using a mini dv recorder, you can beef up the performance and appearance of your recorder with this led light unit. It will really help with your presentation when appearing to video tape someone's wedding among a large audience. I recommend this light hands down. I'm currently thinking of an excuse to purchase another one. Note: when installing the batteries, make sure the dimmer switch is turned down to the lowest setting. If the dimmer is turned up during the installation of the batteries, the light may not come on until the dimmer dial has been turned down and then turned-up

Good overall value for the money. Liked the purchase price point. Reasonable form factor and made of lightweight plastic. Construction seems "delicate" however - must handle carefully in the field? Big surprise was that an A/C adapter did NOT ship with this model -- assumed it would given the "dual power" features that is advertised. Adjustability of light intensity is a must and functions well. Is great for a webcam light to improve subject key light. VERY bright output - can light up an entire room...Diffusers are also great and work well. Good for on-location field interviews. Hoping this unit can withstand professional field use - jury still out. 4 star rating given for potential durability over time.
