Nice effect

I use this graduated filter for shooting landscapes. It does a very nice job reducing the brightness of the sky in order to get a more even photograph top to bottom. The only negative to this filter is that it definitely shows up in the corners of wide angle shots. If you plan for this, a slight crop will take care of the problem. One tip for using this filter is to lay it on a white surface and apply a small dot of nail polish or model paint on either side of the graduation line. When mounting the filter onto the lense, it is hard to see where the line is. That way the darkened area will be straight and even across the image.

Great Product

I pretty much leave one of these filters on both of my L Glass lenses all the time, they do nothing more than improve my images. Makes it much easier to get exposers correct and have image quality not suffer. Also protects the lens itself from any damage.

B+W 67mm # 502 color graduated filter ND

Unless item was a bad sample there was no discernable differnce in the density by eye or when mounted on a lens. It would be impossible to use. I have a graduated neutral density cokin filter which works well but I wanted a direct lens mount for my digital camera lens.
