Easy to attach, however unable to use the canon lens cap. This filter comes with its own cap which would be ok if it stayed on. But it won't and falls off even when the camera is lying on its bank and the lens up while in the back seat. The filter has no threads on the front of its mounting ring so unable to mount anything onto this filter.

I bought this slim mount CPL to use on a 18-200mm lens on a DX DSLR. I already had a polarizer for this lens, but I would get vignetting with the CPL mounted over a UV protective filter from the range of about 18mm-23mm, so I could only open the wide angle to about 24mm. I thought this slim mount would solve my problem. It DID NOT. No difference from the old CPL. I still can only open the wide angle to about 24mm when mounted over the UV filter to avoid vignetting. So now I have 2 CPL. I have to remove the UV filter and mount the CPL directly to the lens, to avoid vignetting at wide angles of 18-23mm.

The lens cover supplied with it is junk. It falls off at the drop of a hat. The filter design does not accept a snap in type lens cover like that which comes with my Nikon 18-200 mm lens so I would recommend the filter but with a caveat.

Filter has a good, solid feel to it. Outer ring turns easily and is textured, so it's easy to distinguish from the inner. No vignetting problems. The soft plastic lens cap that comes with it is worthless.
