Excellent Quality but be aware
B&W make excellent filters but be aware this one does not allow you stack filters and won't accommodate a lens cap other the the rubber one supplied with the filter.

A must for lens protection
Doesn't vignette on the Nikon 10-24 and it provides easy, cleanable protection. Clear, perfect, high quality glass in a perfectly crafted metal frame.

* Schneider logo slip/push-on front cap -- OK not having standard snap-on cap when using hood on 77mm lens
* much less expensive than a new lens! -- mainly fitted to Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM Ultra Wide Angle Zoom
* NO vignetting observed with both 35mm film and 1.6x digital -- smaller footprint than using a filter with an oversized mount (or step-up adapter) AND hood mates as expected
* UV cut-off: have used up to 10000ft with no problems -- B+W's wavelength cut-off is OK

multicoat slim mount includes filter cap
A wide-angle's cyclops-eyed front element begs for protection. In a finely-tuned multi-element WA zoom, addition of yet another piece of glass demands a top quality multi-coated filter. Slim mount essential to avoid WA vignetting. Inclusion of filter cap is a blessing, as standard lens cap (often) doesn't mate with filter ring.
