Fine filter but should have alert
The filter is fine quality, but there should be an alert noting that the design is so thin that it will not permit use of the standard lens cap.

Just What I Needed
The use of this product during a recent glamour shoot in very tight situations was perfect.....glares were cut and the images were greatly enhanced.

B + W is a solid product
This is a thin filter.
For wide angle use.

Doesn't take lens cap on top!
This has everything that is great about B+W filters. B+W are the best. HOWEVER, do not get this if you want to put your lens cap on the filter! Because this is the slim mount, it doesn't have space for the lens cap to click in.

Don't Scrimp
When I spent as much as I did for Canon's EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM, I didn't want to buy just any filter. These are made of metal, not plastic. Adding a good filter completes the seal of the L series lenses. This thin version of B&W's UV filter still has slight vignetting at wide angles but is better that the regular, thicker filter.

Great glass but no front thread
As always, B+W makes good stuff but be aware that this filter, with it's slim profile, does not have front threads so you won't be able to use your lens cap (at least not my Canon cap). It comes with one that fits over the outer edge but it does not fit very tight.
