This does slip onto 82mm lenses but often falls off when pulling it out of your bag. It also is very bendable so any blunt force to the front of the lens even with this cap on could crack your glass. Why can't they make the middle out of hard plastic? This thing is just an afterthought but the only thing available if you don't feel like taking your slim, non threaded filters off everytime to put the lens cap on.
