The Bowens 100 Watt Unilite Fluorescent Softbox Light uses a 100 Watt 5400°K compact fluorescent lamp (included). Running at a low temperature, it is safe to use, for shooting subjects that are easily affected by heat such as people, food, and flowers

The fixture provides 81 footcandles, from a 3.3'(1 m) distance when used with the included softbox diffuser, and 144 footcandles, from a distance of 3.3' (1 m) when used without the softbox diffuser.
