This is an excellent product backed by outstanding customer service. I bought mine two years ago and have used it extensively with a pro camera body and Canon 300mm 2.8 lens. It is easy to set up, and is comfortable through a full days hike up and down the peaks, even under a backpack. When the plastic mount on the harness broke I contacted Cotton Carrier on a Saturday and was told on Sunday I was fully covered. By Friday a brand new harness with additional goodies arrived from Canada at no cost! Buy it!

I primarily purchased this system to alleviate the dangling strap syndrome :)I shoot with dual Canon 7D's using side slings for sporting events. Unfortunately they swing back and forth and I still have to have my hands on them when moving around to avoid bumping my camera into things or people. The cotton carrier system addresses those issues. Now for the things that are inherent downfalls. You have to get the adjustments just right to be comfortable. It took me several attempts to get the velcro and strap adjustments to fit me. I feel there could be some room for improvement. Since both my 7D's have battery grips and I primarily use a EF 70-200 F/2.8 IS USM MkII on one body and a Sigma 150-500 DG OS APO HSM lens on the other... I have a lot of equipment weight on me. Just be aware that you will need to get accustomed to that weight in other areas. As for the possible improvements: 1. Where the two shoulder straps attach to the top of the front panel... it can use a strap horizontally connecting the two shoulder straps to keep it a tight fit across your collar bones. 2. The back portion of the harness can use a single belt that hangs down to attach to your pants belt to keep the back portion from rising up towards your neck when carrying a very heavy zoom. In general, very happy with the item. Both of the improvements above is something I can address with some innovations :) If you are not planning on using heavy lenses... then it will not be a problem. Great product, quality materials... and yes, my gear is far more secure!
