great camera higher shutter count than I would have liked.

As I said really like the camera but both refurb bodies I have purchased (D3300-D7200) have had higher shutter counts than I would prefer. I like Adorama but may look elsewhere for my next body.

fantastic camera

I really like this new camera. It's a major step up from the D40 I had. I checked the shutter count since this is a refurbished camera, and I was surprised to see that it was 0 -- it had never taken a picture before! Love the pictures it makes.

Excellent Value DX Series Camera

By

I needed to upgrade my DX camera body, and this D7200 was the best value point for the format. The $$$ savings going Refurbished was significant, even with the additional purchase of a 5 year extended warranty. The camera I received is indistinguishable from new. The condition of it is “New, in box” and every bit as good as a new camera. Everything functions exactly as from the factory, every aspect of the camera is factory fresh. My biggest concern was getting a camera with a high or significant shutter count, even though I’d read of others getting a camera with 1200, 2300, 5200 clicks on the window. I checked mine, first thing: 410! Only 410 clicks....I’ll shoot more than that on a single outing! This is really a Brand New camera. I’m very happy with it and strongly recommend going with the Refurbished version from Adorama. I got a brand new camera with a 5 year warranty for $ all together.

Terrific Upgrade after Using a D5100

By

I have been using a D5100 for about the last 4 years, and just upgraded to a D7200, and I am very pleased with it after coveting one for 2 years. I ordered a refurb unit that was a demo. When I received it, there were 247 click on it. Heck, I can do that in an afternoon. So, for all intent and purposes, it was brand new. I purchased it primarily for the decrease noise of shooting with a higher ISO. I do a lot of wildflower photography with much of it in lower light. After listening to the shutter on my D5100 for over 65K times, the first shot I took with my D7200 was like hearing the difference between shutting a door on a Pinto vs. shutting a door on a BMW. It did take about 5 hours of studying the manuals to become familiar with where everything was even though both cameras are Nikon. My expectations on all features of the camera have been met or exceeded. I highly recommend a D7200 to anyone currently shooting a 5000 or 3000 series. It's a fabulous camera with a great refurb price.

Perfect Condition / Low Shutter Count

By

I was a little worried about the age/use of the refurbished camera I might get from Adorama. The D7200 arrived after about a week+ (which seems like a long time in the age of Amazon Prime!) and was nicely packaged... cover on the battery, new Nikon strap, etc. So far the performance of the camera is perfect and the shutter count was only ~1100.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
ROBERT D  SYSTEM BACK UP
Samuel B  Great camera body. Not full frame but maybe the best DX camera you can get. It does really well in low light, is weather resistant, and has tagged along on many adventures with me.
BRENDA E  I have the Nikon D7000 which I LOVE, but I wanted to be able to use the nikon app to send the photos digitally right as I take them.
Gene M  I just purchased the Nikon D7200 for my daughter. I have the D7100 and really like it. I have use Nikon for years, and still have a F5 and N90 that I really like, however 35mm is getting difficult to find the film and processing. I did not know if I would like using a 'D', so I bought the D7100 and can't find a real reason to by a full size like the D810. For work and personal I have purchased 4, D7100's, and 2, D7200's.
BRUCE B  Needed to replace my seven year old D7000 which failed recently - major shutter failure. I wasn't that impressed with the new D7500 specs (no battery grip capability and no 2nd card slot) and wanted something that was ergonomically similar to the D7000. The D7200 appears to fit that requirement nicely. Even though the camera design is 2 1/2 years old the reviews on refurbished cameras seem to be very good so I went with the refurbished unit.
THOMAS D  Excellent price. Since this is my first purchase, I had several questions and they were all answered. Customer service very good.
Laura S  I made reservations for a fall color trip, then discovered my camera has lost the top of a dial rendering the dial immobile. Needed a fast reasonably priced replacement as Nikon repairs are extremely slow. This refurbished body will let me use my old screw type AF lenses and there will be a very minor learning curve involved. Have been satisfied with refurbished purchases in the past, hope this one works out as well.
Chetan W  Upgrading from my trusty D3100 body. Wanted a newer body but not yet ready for the FX line - also want to keep my existing lens lineup
GEORGE N  I bought a refurbished Nikon D5300 from Adorama this week. The experience was super! Great camera, great price, great service. So I decided to buy this d7200 from Adorama rather than from another vendor as a result. The D7200 is supposed to be a fine camera. I'll let you know . . . GAN
BILL N  I have relied on Nikon cameras for years and needed to upgrade my landscape camera (D7000) to the D7200 because it has a larger buffer, faster focus, produces sharper images, and is now being offered at a very reasonable price as a refurbished model. My older D7000 was going to be sent to Nikon for a check over and cleaning – however with the purchase of the D7200, I will now sell the D7000 and put the money toward a full frame camera for Portraits and Studio work.
James M  Much, much, much research. Unbelievable how many variables of specs, interoperability, durability, performance. etc. Seems like this one's a high point for Nikon in recent years.
STEVEN Z  I have Nikon D7000 with lots of lenses. Just up grading
JOE A  Chosen for great reviews and satisfaction with my other Nikon cameras and lenses.
Wei L  great camera, good quality even for refurb, trust of Adorama even for refurb.
Robert y  A former flagship DX format camera of Nikon, according to experts, this camera is almost neck-to-neck to the current Nikon flagship DX camera D 500 but only about 50% of the cost. It is a good buy.
Taye Z  I am upgrading from D90 which was a very good camera to this one.
William L  I had seen this offer before Christmas and when it was continued into January I couldn't resist. I'm a semi-pro and I was looking for an upgrade from my D80 (APS-C, 10 MP) which has served me well. The only feature the 7200 is missing is an articulated view screen but a D500 is out of the question for now.
DEBORAH L S  Have D7000 and wanted to update to more features and higher megapixels - have always bought refurbs and have been very happy with them.
Shopper  How many actuations does this refurbished Nikon have?
Andrew R  Unfortunately the shutter count is unknown to us. These units have been refurbished by the manufacturer and then re-packed and factory sealed (packaging normally indicates that the unit has been factory refurbished).
Shopper  Compatible with AF-P lenses?
david b  YES. I checked the WEB. it works!
Ivan W  According to Nikon these are the charts: Digital SLR cameras that have some restrictions with AF-P lenses For further details, select the product and lens combination in the DSLR camera and lens compatibility chart and check the notes. Df D5 D600 (be sure the camera firmware has been updated to the latest version) D610 (be sure the camera firmware has been updated to the latest version) D750 (be sure the camera firmware has been updated to the latest version) D810 series D3300 (be sure the camera firmware has been updated to the latest version) D5200 D5300 (be sure the camera firmware has been updated to the latest version) D7100 D7200 Nikon 1 series with the FT1 Your limitation would be that you should shoot right after focusing with AF, and don't keep the shutter halfway pressed for too long because it will reset. Other is that your VR will be always ON because AF-P has no manual switch, that could be a problem with tripods or long exposures. That according to some forums. I have a set of G lenses and one vintage, 35-70 2.8 D type, with this lenses it is a slow when focusing and tend to over expose but knowing its limitations I managed to take really good portraits with it. Great sharp camera. Next step for me the d500. In flickr look for name "indavar" All the photos from 2016 onward are taken with the 7200.
William D W  As far as I know you will be able to use the lenes with no issues on d7200 but you will not be able to control VR through camera software as its not yet updated in the current one means you will use the lens with VR always on.
Andrew R  Per Nikon support: "The Nikon D7100 and Nikon D7200 are both compatible with the Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR lens and have the same limitation regarding the use of Vibration Reduction. Since this lens, like other AF-P lenses, does not have a VR ON/OFF switch, VR will default to ON when used on either camera. In addition, the focus ring on the lens cannot be disabled when in autofocus mode."
