Less is More

A perfectly simple and well thought out strap. It is comfortable with having a separate shoulder pad, and attaches to a strap lug, which is designed to take the weight, and leaves the tripod socket free. This version is for those who leave the strap attached to the camera.

meets my needs

Using it with my new D600. Easy to attach and is comfortable. I like that the tripod socket is accessible.

About BosStrap One Piece (OP) Sling Strap (Black)

The black BosStrap One Piece Sling Strap is engineered to carry your camera safely and comfortably, while offering easy accessibility and extreme simplicity.

Like the neck strap that came with your camera, the BosStrap OP always remains attached to your camera. But the BosStrap OP has significant differences compared to conventional neck straps. Sling straps incorporate a sliding fitting that moves along the strap, not requiring the strap itself to move. In use, the camera glides smoothly along the strap up to your eye; when not in use the camera rests comfortably at your hip. The sling design dates back to 1885.

Sling straps are worn across your chest and rely on a sliding fitting, attached to the camera, for quick access and safe operation. The BosStrap OP Sling Strap is engineered to be the simplest Sling Strap on the market. The 64" long 1½ wide smooth nylon strap has a single adjustment buckle and a keeper. There is no need for a cumbersome and roaming shoulder pad because the wide strap comfortably distributes the weight of your gear on your shoulder, not on your neck. A nickel plated fitting slides on the strap. The fitting has a 3/8" wide, 8" long nylon tail. The OP Tail attaches to the left camera strap lug of strap post triangle.

Once you attach the OP Tail to the camera, you never need remove it. Your camera is attached to the strap using the strap lug on the camera, not the tripod socket. With the BosStrap OP, there are no releasable connectors or threaded fittings to remove from the tripod socket.

In use, the camera glides up to shooting position. Since the strap attaches to the left camera strap lug, there is nothing to interfere with the major camera controls on the right side of the camera. Shooting horizontally or vertically are equallyunencumbered by the BosStrap OP. When not shooting, the camera safely rests at your right side, allow hands free security.

When you want to move to a tripod, there is nothing to remove from the tripod socket. You can keep your quick release plate attached to your camera. Because there is no shoulder pad with the BosStrap OP, stowing the BosStrap is as easy as wrapping the strap around the lens.
