Perfect for long exposures

This wireless remote is used on my Pentax K-5. It's easy to use (just plug it in to the camera and push the remote button)and it sells for a very attractive price. It works very well for long exposures, such as night shots, and the multiple exposures for HDR images. It is a useful accessory any time a camera is used on a tripod. Recommended.

Like it

Not very useful on the hot shoe mount if you're using a radio slave too but otherwise totally functional and a good value.

Very handy.

I write articles for locksmiths on servicing automotive locks. I often need to shoot macro shots of small parts with my hand(s) in the frame. This gadget gives me lots of freedom. if I need both hands in the frame, I can usually push the button with my toe. (Working barefoot is not a problem since I'm usually at a workbench in the studio.) The only problem that I've had was keeping up with both parts of the unit. I wish it had come with a case. I now keep it in a zipper pouch that I bought for that purpose. I had been searching unsuccessfully for something like this and finally called Adorama and asked for help. As usual they came through; these guys know their stuff!

Shuts off

For those pictures when the photographer wants to be in the picture it works great. When you need to make multiple shots, it's not so good. It turns itself off after the first shot. Sent it in for a replacement and the replacement does the same thing.

Easy to Use

Works well on Canon T2i with no problems. Better that the other remote I have that needs line of sight to operate. Used for photographing birds remotely from a blind.

Maybe self portraits

I purchased this remote with a specific project in mind; my Viet Nam group's reunion. I tested the unit as soon as received to assure it was in working condition and later did tests shots indoors from about 15 feet with good results. However, when I set up for the reunion group photo, I found the range to be grossly overstated. Beyond 20 feet, it failed to function. I had to get someone to manually trip the shutter. It works well enough to be useful in some circumstances as long as you are within 20 feet of the camera.

Inexpensive and works great

I was looking for a remote control that wasn't infrared. I was looking for a device that was inexpensive and reliable. I found all of that in this product. I'm photographing hummingbirds. The camera and tripod are in the bedroom shooting out a window. I'm in the living room watching out another window and viola! Works every time.

The perfect solution !

Again, this is the perfect solution. No setup - just plug it in your camera, turn it on, and click away. I haven't found a distance it doesn't work at. My only concern is that it's small enough that I hope I dont lose it!! ;-)

Perfect remote!

This is a great remote for my Canon XSi camera. It is lightweight and very easy to use. It is better for me than a tethered release. I have had no problems with it.

Handy Wireless release.

Will be nice when I want to be in the photograph. Like family photos or photos with my dogs when nobody else is around. I look forward to trying it on hummingbird shots also.

Love it!

Works great for any remote shooting setups, also for long exposures (including "Bulb").

garbage! cheap, flimsy, didn't work

this product is flimsy and useless. it took one picture when i first hooked it up and that was the end of it. it would occasionally light up as though it knew it were transmitting something, but would not take a picture. it is very cheaply built and looks like something someone is manufacturing out of their garage. the package it comes in even makes it look incredibly cheap!! i tried everything to "fix" it. i changed batteries. i searched and searched for troubleshooting help and finally came to the realization that this thing just didn't work. i'm very disappointed that i can't find a decent wireless remote that doesn't require being in front of the camera!

Does Just what its Supposed to

I just got this in the mail the other day and so far I love it. The only thing I overlooked was getting 2 AAA batteries for it for when it arrived... This makes it sooo much easier for me....now I don't have to delay the photo, run in front of the camera and "HOPE" it will be in focus.... The remote is quite small...I'm afraid I might lose it. Its super easy to use the product...just press the button half down and then all the way down to take the photo...can't get much simpler then that. I haven't had a chance to really see how far away I can be and still actaully use the remote. The price was a tad steep, but overall I think this product will be well worth it.

Fantastic

I love the fact that I do not have to stand directly in front of the camera to use the remote. I can focus it on the hummingbird feeders and back off so the hummingbirds come to the feeder and release the shutter from some distance. I did drop the handheld peice on the concrete the other night and cried. I thought I had broke it as the battery and cover popped off but it was okay, thank goodness!!
