The camera is great, except for the lack of a hotshoe. I know it has the color flashes but the ability to add your own or to be able to sync a external flash is disapointing. I also noticed that the kit did not come with the advertised roll of 120 film or the 2 batteries. grrrr! But it gave me the excuse to mod it to accept 35mm until I order some online.

I wanted a fun present for my husband and it was great, he enjoys the anticipation of waiting to see how his pictures turn out- each has been different, yet successful!!

I was upset that the film included is completely unmarked, and had to guess at which chemicals to develop with. However, the camera works great and all additional film you buy you'll be sure what to use.

Great low cost intro to med-format photography. These cameras are noted for their low tech/low quality shots. I found it to be better than expected.

The kit is well worth buying opposed to just buying the camera. Included is a book put together by Lomography which really shows the Holga's capabilities. It also goes through the different techniques to achieve a certain shot-- very hip. If you're thinking about getting a Holga, get the one with the flash. It's way more versatile. Pay a few more dollars and get it with the kit.
