It works, but, do you need it?

It reduces glare in strong sun light, but, the lens hood attachment fastens poorly to its lens filter adapter.

LA-49X100 works well provided ...

To rule out any lens movement hitting the filter, I insert an O-ring [15/16"OD x 13/16"ID x 1/16" made by DANCO (#32)], then screw in the adapter ring about 5/8 to 3/4 turn to secure it. This adapter comes with a 49mm clear filter. A very good deal.
