As the first product invented and the granddaddy of range, the Dinkum Systems FlareDinkum CINE Lens Shade (previously known as the clamping French Flag) has been battling stray light on movie sets and TV studios for more than twelve years. Initially designed for use on larger film and video cameras, the CINE is also popular as a versatile cutter with grips, gaffers and stage technicians. Setting the standard for lens shades in the production market, the strong spring clamp can be fixed to multiple points on camera bodies while also securing easily to C-Stands or other surfaces up to 1-1/2" thick.

The FlareDinkum CINE Lens Shade attaches quickly to your camera set-up without the need to remove matteboxes or change rod settings, allowing for placement in areas other shades can't reach. The ultra-flexible 15-link, 20" long ball and socket arm is length-adjustable and does not require tools to change the length. Simply pop the segments apart and press them back together to customize your flag, or make it do double duty with one of alternate heads or mounting bases.
