I bought this to replace a missing plate on a Rocketfish RF-mono70c monopod. I could not get one from Rocketfish, but heard that the head on the Rocketfish was made by Dolica. The GX600 is a little smaller than the original but works fine holding a Canon 70-200 f2.8 and Canon 100 f2.8 Macro lens. I think the GX650 would have the exact replacement for the original, but I'm 100% comfortable with the GX600 holding the two lens mentioned above on my Canon 7D II and / or 5D III.

Once I realized the screw clamp on the tripod was tightened all the way (whoops!) I was able to slide the plate right in there and it fits perfectly. I'm totally satisfied, especially considering the price.

Thank you Adorama !! I lost my release plate while visiting Iceland and was bumbed to find out that I've searched high and low for a replacement and couldn't find one that fits my tripod. Finally I found it here and it was back ordered with no date as to when it would be available. After a few weeks the release plate shipped and it was very fast shipping the price for the release plates are unbeatable so, I made sure I got backups! This bracket is larger (wider) but does fit well. Has made for a good replacement . I would not think twice on buying again if needed

I ordered two of these replacement plates so I could leave one on each of my telephoto lenses so I could save time whenever I needed to swap while shooting. One of the replacement plates fit perfectly, but the second plate was too tight and would not slip into the receiver on the ball head. Since I had a trip planned to to take wildlife photos and didn't have time to wait for another replacement, I was able to file the replacement plate down enough to utilize it (although it doesn't look pretty since filing scratched the finish off in places). It seems that quality control might be lacking here. Like I said, one plate worked very well, so as long as you can get one that fits (the first time), it is a good deal. Guess if you're willing to gamble, it is a good deal at a very reasonable price.

Adorama had the best price for this release plate but the problem is the poor QC from the manufacturer. I had to exchange the first Dolica tripod I ordered because the release plate was stuck. For this one, I had to use a metal file to shave the angled feet down so the plate would slide in. Now it works fine, but I had to scrape part of the black paint off along with some of the metal. I justed wanted to have a spare release plate since this small part seems very easy lose.

If you need a replacement plate for the GX600B200, there's literally no other option.

This second Quick Release Plate allows me to have one on my back-up camera. This way I don't waste time changing them out on the tripod.
