For use of flash heads not using camera hot-shoe. Works as advertised, great accessory for using external flash, changing lighting perspective , etc. Have not found something I did not like about it so far........

Great product and very handy. Te only reason I have it four stars instead of five is because I wish it was a little longer. Other than that it's great.

Off camera flash is almost always better but I found that you really need a good bracket that can allow the flash above the camera whether landscape or portrait. The cord works great. The bracket is a bit heavier than some others but it is solid and worth its weight in gold (sort of speak). It takes a bit getting use to but I noticed much better flash coverage and results using this bracket, especially when I turn the camera vertical and still want the flash above not in the hot shoe on the side. I love the solid construction.

Construction is "wrong" in the sense that the cable from the hot shoe extends in _front_ of the lens and not to the side of the body. Also, there is only one lock and not two as in Nikon SC-28.

This was offered in a bundle with my Nikon SB 700 flash. I might not have ordered it separately. But, I've played with it a find that it is really nice to have for moving the flash off the camera in a simple, fast way.

I purchased this for off-camera flash use. It works fine and as expected. This was my first flash cord and I chose the coiled one over the straight one. The coiled cord stays neat, out of the way, and is easy to pack and carry. The disadvantage of a coiled cord is the pull it has between the camera and the flash unit; both need securely held. For my uses, my next cord will be a straight one. Given that, I can still recommend this unit.

The Plastic plate that holds the flash unit Hot Shoe, Broke in half due the weight of the SB-900. Even though it was replaced,I'm afraid to take it out on a trip and loose it again.

Not so great as I had to replace cord due that the shoe insert tooooooooo weak and it broke off with the weight of the SB-900

Works exactly as advertised. With many coil type cords when extending them, the internal conductors often short out or break continuity. I have stretched this thing out to its full 3' length many times with no problems. A good value here.

Very useful for using an external flash. It allows you to move the flash unit around so more creative photos can be taken.

I would recomend this product as good if not better than nikon. I used 2 of them for the first time for a wedding and they worked flawlessly.

Its not the original from NIKON but its works fine for my Flash SB-400. It help my to use the flash from differents angles. The best part it's a little cheaper than the SC-28 from Nikon.

Great for using the flash off camera especially when concerned about reflections from glass, such as at an aquarium.

This lasted through 4 uses before the shoe for the speedlight loosened up so much it is now unusable. The loose contact causes the flash to fire intermitently. I even tried shimming the shoe but could not make it work. The flash rocks back and forth. Do not buy this product.

This cord works perfectly. I have bought inexpensive versions of something similar and have not had nearly the results. This cord enabled me to get my flash off the camera and on top of my bracket. It controls all ETTL functions and has a real quality feel to it. Very pleased with the purchase.

These are the perfect answer to using a dedicated flash unit off of the camera and yet retain all of the dedicated features of the flash.
These heavy duty TTL cords are designed to fit Nikon Cameras that use dedicated flash units. They feature a molded shoe on one end that slides onto the camera hot show and locks to prevent accidental dislodging of the shoe. A second shoe mounts onto a flash bracket or light stand via either a standard foot with lock or a 1/4-20 thread. The top of the shoe accepts the flash unit. A heavy duty 3 foot coiled cord connects the shoes. Does not have an accessory shoe, and you need to remove the shoe from the bracket and screw it into the 1/4x20 socket.
